Smokey’s is Getting Kids Ready for Back to School

School Supply Drive Going On Now.

Ahh, the first day of school; fresh faces, new pencils and erasers, crisp, clean notebooks and a nice backpack to carry all those supplies in.  Unfortunately, that is not the situation for many kids returning to school this year.  Budgets have been cut in both homes and schools and many children will lack the basic tools necessary for successful learning without our help.

Smokey’s Hot Oven Pizza has a long history of supporting local kids and they are having a School Supply Drive. There are a ton of great back to school supply sales going on right now. So, while you are out school supply shopping at your favorite store, pick up a few extra supplies if you can and drop them off at Smokey’s Hot Oven Pizza.

Some of the basic needs are: Backpacks, Pencils, Colored Pencils, Crayons, Rulers, Erasers, Spiral Notebooks, Tissues (Kleenex), and Hand Sanitizer.

I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be
